Trojan-worm hybrid threatens users’ privacy and their bank accounts Print E-mail
Saturday, 03 December 2005
A new kind of malware, which includes both worm and Trojan features and could be used to steal information, has been reported by security company Panda Software. Eyeveg.D uses its Trojan features to capture information sent to remote servers through secure servers, such as bank account information. It can also log key stroke information and provide backdoor access to remote users. The worm feature allows Eyeveg.D to mail itself as a compressed attachment, which appears to come from the infected user.
