How should I set my ActiveX controls? Print E-mail
Sunday, 24 April 2005
Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools
Click the Security Tab
Click Custom Levels

In the window that opens scroll down to the entry:-
ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins.

Then disable:-
"Download Unsigned ActiveX controls"

Then select:-
"prompt" - "Download signed ActiveX Controls"

This will allow you to see an active x control and who it's from before it's installed. Never blindly trust an active x control just because it's signed or looks trustworthy -make sure to do a bit of research before you allow the application to install..
